On November 16th, OPTIMUS | SBR launched its 2nd annual Drive for Warmth! This year’s crowd-funding initiative intended to raise $5,000 in support of Engage and Change’s Project Winter Survival Initiative by purchasing supplies to build and distribute emergency survival kits for individuals that will unfortunately spend cold nights on Toronto’s streets this winter, where they will be at risk to inclement weather that can have deadly consequences.
We’re pleased to report that owing to the generosity and support of friends, families, colleagues and kind-hearted strangers, we were able to surpass our campaign goal! As a result of your kind support, we were able to donate enough money to build over 50 survival kits and truly help those in our local community. The CSR Committee would like to sincerely thank everyone that helped us along this important campaign – we could not have met our goal without you. Thank you and Happy Holidays and New Year from OPTIMUS | SBR!
