How We Got There

The Challenge

Our financial services client needed to quickly assess and transform their privacy practices to comply with Quebec’s Bill 64 (Law 25). The client struggled with inconsistencies in privacy management across departments, making it difficult to ensure compliance with the new regulations. The organization faced significant challenges in aligning stakeholders, identifying gaps, and implementing the necessary changes to meet compliance requirements.

 The Solution

To address these challenges, our firm partnered with the client to create a tailored regulatory impact assessment template, designed to evaluate the current state of privacy practices against the new regulatory standards. Our team led cross-departmental workshops to document processes, uncover compliance gaps, and identify priorities. From there, we worked closely with stakeholders to develop a set of clear business requirements for compliance and guided the client through the implementation phase by designing future-ready processes, creating tools and templates, and offering change management support.
